Hello everyone :D My name is Corey, and I am a new gun owner from Dallas, TX. That new gun is actually a well loved used H&K P2000 LEM 40S&W. It is in amazing condition for having been used by a police officer as their carry weapon (and yes from what I was told that was where it came from), and while I haven't gotten to fire a round through it yet, the feel of the gun is amazing.
So my question is about the springs and any other parts that might wear out. I have no idea how many rounds went through this gun, and i don't know any officers to ask how many they tend to put through them. So while everything feels good right now, I have no way to know how heavily it's been used.
So any tips on what I should be looking for when I go to test the gun tomorrow? Any parts that might be an issue?
Thanks ahead of time, and just for the fun of it, here is the gun:
