I snagged a P30 Light LEM because I wanted to try the trigger. It never impressed me when dry firing in LGS's, and I had minimal expectation but forum members kept banging that LEM drum. Gotta say it's pretty cool. My other P30 is long slide with just decocker. So the shorter barrel and LEM was enough change to push me over the edge to another HK.
My P30L fits my hand like a glove. I wear a size large or XL GLOVE and the LEM gun came with a medium backstrap. So I shot it a while then changed to the large. I shot the large well enough but neither felt right and I couldn't figure it out.
When I got home I realized my P30L had the small back strap and med side panels. So changed to match my P30L.
How did you outfit your P30?
My last observation is my friend was playing with his back straps on his FN and I liked the larger one on that gun. Point is every gun is different and choosing the smallest or largest for all guns might not make sense for you. It does not work for me. I gotta play with each one and shoot several mags or more to decide.
