Long time lurker, first post. Bought my first HK, a P30 V3 9mm a few months ago. Love it. Called HK customer service today and asked if they'll be offering a threaded barrel and they said yes, they are on order from Germany right now and they hope to have them beginning of next year.
Just to be sure I called back a second time, got a different customer service rep, and they said the same thing, P30 threaded barrels are on order from Germany and will be in sometime early next year. They don't have a price or part number yet though. He did tell me it will be 13.5x1 LH threaded, and that it will use the standard recoil assembly (unlike the USP 45 Tactical). I asked if this meant there would also be a P30 tactical model but they said no plans on that yet, just selling barrels.
Thought you guys would like to know.
