Hey all! Recent addition to forum, but have been picking up info for a while. Recently ran into a used USP .45 compact with 3 mags for a decent price from an acquaintance, so I picked it up. It's a V1, DA/SA. The double action is fairly stiff, but I like it better than the P30 9mm I traded away. Seems very consistent. Did not like the trigger on that particular P30 example.
I suppose I should try to fire some more rounds through it to see if I want to keep it stock, but I think I might just like to make it a LEM light like my .357 Sig P2000SK. I suppose I could sell it and get a LEM 45c, but that will involve added cost. I really like the multiple carry methods like Cocked and Locked. And, how you can manipulate the slide while on safety.
Should I just get the LEM kit and be done with it? I would do it myself, I am comfortable enough working on my guns (NO DREMELS!).
