I finished up the 16 hours needed training today for my Illinois CCW and qualified the shooting test with my new VP9!
Had to shoot 10 rounds at 15 feet, 10 rounds at 21 feet, and 10 rounds at 30 feet. I did my worst shooting at 15 feet LOL. Little bit of jitters and only my second time out with my VP9 but then I got comfortable with it. Love my new VP9. Hopefully back to the range with it soon to spend some quality time with it. Trigger has smoothed up nicely after only about 150 rounds total through it and what a soft shooter. Using large grip panels and backstrap. Going to try medium backstrap next time too.
Now to finish up my online CCW application with sad state of Illinois. Total cost for training and application was $400.
