In addition to this site, I had posted a WTB ad on the FALFiles website for an HK 770. A member on the Files hooked me up with a gun shop in NC that had one for sale. I had the owner send me several pictures as shown below and as they started coming in I was disappointed to see that it was an SL7 (nothing against them but I've owned them before and really want a 770). When I called him back to explain, he was very confused as he said it is stamped 770 on the receiver. The rifle is in overall excellent shape and the only thing I can figure is that since the parts interchange it was either swapped out for some reason or the incorrect receiver was used in the first place? Anyone else seen this before? It even comes with a 770 manual.
