what do you suggest and why

I am hoping sometime this year i can fit a HK rifle into the budget. Most likely it will not be a MR556 or MR762 unless i have a rather favorable windfall but they are just a bit to pricey for me with a wedding to plan, and other things i have to take care of and my current training ammo costs :) .


sooooooooo other than that the question is what rifle do you suggest and why. For instance i was at the range and got to shot a nice little PTR-91 and was very happy with it. The stock hurt like hell but it was seriously fun and cheap for a 7.62. So that is what im looking at. because for 1200 or less really you can get a fun 7.62 that is pretty slick for that price. But im no expert. I could be wrong and that gun could have alllllllll sorts of issues i want no part of.

so if it was your first HK rifle......not first rifle but HK rifle which would be and why. Im looking at something that is low cost, good options, ak reliablity. caliber doesnt matter too much i prefer the 7.62. mostly because for 5.56 i realllllly would want the 416, but will most likely settle on a PWS M16. or AUG A3. :)


Some hk pdw's can be suggested too i am a huge fan of the ump 45 but once again costs.
