Bolt carrier question

I had noticed some funny wear/chipping/cracking? on my factory SP89 bolt carrier when I was lubricating it for this weekend. Is this a normal spot for this to occur or is there a problem with the carrier?(I inspected the receiver I dont see any unusal wear or damage)
